These terms govern your use of marrowandhound.co.za, operated by Marrow & Hound from Pretoria, South Africa. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please stop using the site.

They are provided in accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) and should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

Adding something to your basket does not reserve it. Your order becomes a contract between us once your payment has been confirmed and we have sent you an order confirmation.

If we cannot fulfil an order after it has been paid — because something is out of stock, or because we cannot deliver to the address given — we will tell you and refund you in full.

Please check your delivery address before you pay. We can change it if you email us before the parcel is collected, but not once it is with the courier.

Payments are taken by Payfast, a licensed South African payment gateway. You enter your card or banking details on their secure pages, and we never see or store them.

An order is only dispatched once Payfast has confirmed the payment to us. If a payment fails or you cancel it, no order is created and nothing is charged.

If a payment is later reversed or charged back, the order it paid for is cancelled.

Prices are quoted in South African Rand and include VAT where it applies. The item prices and the delivery cost shown at checkout are the total you pay — we add nothing after that.

Prices may change without notice, but a change never affects an order that has already been paid for.

Products and colourways are subject to availability. Where something is out of stock we will tell you and offer an alternative or a timeframe.

We correct errors when we find them. If a price or specification on this site is obviously wrong, we are not obliged to honour it.

We describe our beds and throws as accurately as we can, including foam construction, dimensions and care instructions. Dimensions are nominal and small variations are normal in handmade textile goods.

Screens render colour differently. The four colourways shown on this site are a close guide rather than an exact match, and we are happy to talk you through them before you commit.

Delivery is charged at one of the two flat rates published on our Shipping page, determined by whether the delivery address is in a main centre or on a regional or outlying route, and the timeframes there are working days from dispatch. We deliver within South Africa only.

Deliveries are made by an independent courier arranged through Bob Go. Someone needs to be at the address during working hours to sign for the parcel.

You may return an unused item in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. Return shipping is at your own cost unless the item arrived damaged, faulty or not as described.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, including your right to goods of good quality and to the statutory cooling-off period for goods bought at a distance.

Please give us accurate information when you contact us — we rely on the breed, weight and sleeping habits you describe to recommend a size.

The same goes at checkout: an incomplete or incorrect delivery address is the most common reason a parcel goes astray, and a redelivery caused by a wrong address is at your cost.

Do not use our forms to send unlawful, abusive or misleading content, and do not use them to send unsolicited marketing to us.

All content on this site — including the Marrow & Hound name, our photography, product names and written copy — belongs to us or is used with permission.

You may view and share pages for your own personal use. You may not reproduce, republish or use our content commercially without our written permission.

We aim to keep this site available and accurate, but we provide it as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. Our liability in connection with a confirmed order is limited to the value of that order.

This does not exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These terms are governed by South African law, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
